In a dramatic surprise finish, the Huskies pulled out a hard fought 2nd place finish at the WSC indoor conference meet. With only one conference champion (Chris Wright-Madision HJ), the Huskies racked up enough points to beat out the third place team by 1 point.

OPRF won 15 of 17 events on Saturday to cruise to a dominant victory over Lane Tech, Fenwick, and St. Ignatius. Oak Park's Kahrion Martin turned in two dominant performances in the jumps TJ: 44' and LJ: 20'9. Sophomore Nkabila Mwakyoma was also a double winner in both hurdle events HH: 8.15 and LH: 7.52. Seniors Xavier Rowe and Lionel Towns were also winners in the 200 and 400 respectively with times of 24.08 and 53.87.
OPRF is looking forward to hosting Lane Tech, St. Ignatius, and Fenwick to our historic fieldhouse on Saturday. Lane Tech and St. Ignatius will be top competitors at this year's sectional meet.
The Huskies nearly defeated the 4 time defending state champion Lake Park Lancers last Saturday. The running Huskies came up only 2 points short.
The Oak Park & River Forest Huskies are headed to Proviso West this Friday to open their much anticipated 2014 season. The huskies have been hard at work for nearly a month and are ready to test their mettle against other teams. Once again the huskies are carrying a massive roster of 123 athletes including 23 seniors.
